Certification procedure

You have the option of receiving Cert-IT certification in all three phases of qualification. The certification process:

  • Submit documents
  • Certification application (F079)
  • Education documents
  • Documentation of professional experience
  • Proof of successful completion of training courses
  • Two signed copies of the certification contract (F080)
  • Color photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm, on paper or GIF, TIF or JPG format)

 

 

 

QM Officer (QO)

  • The examination is a written test (multiple-choice questions, F085).
  • The test consisting of 45 questions has to be completed in 90 minutes.
  • Training records and ISO 9000 standards have been approved for application.
  • A pass is at least 60% of the maximum number of points (27 correct answers). The maximum number of points is 45.

Quality Manager (QM)

  • The examination is a written test (multiple-choice and regular questions, F086).
  • The test consisting of 40 questions has to be completed in 120 minutes.
  • Training records and ISO 9000 standards have been approved for application.
  • A pass is at least 60% of the maximum number of points (24 correct answers). The maximum number of points is 40.

 

Quality Auditor (QA)

  • The examination consists of three parts: a question sheet (Part I), an actual audit (Part II) and questions from experts (Part III).
  • Part I – Question sheet (multiple-choice and regular questions, F087): 30 questions that have to be complete in 60 minutes.
  • Part II – Audit: Candidates receive QM documents and evaluate these independently under supervision within 30 minutes consistent with parts of the ISO 9001 and under application of an audit protocol for ISO 9001 certifications procedures. Afterwards candidates submit their results to the examiners to scrutinize and assess processes and documents in a replicated auditing situation. This part of the examination takes a maximum of 15 minutes.
  • Part III – Questions from experts: The examiner asks the candidate three previously determined expert questions. Each correctly answered question is awarded points by mutual agreement, a maximum of 10 per question. This part of the examination takes a maximum of 10 minutes
  • ISO 19011 and ISO 9000 standards are applied.
  • A pass is when at least 60% of the maximum number of points in each test part are achieved (Part I: 18 points / Part II: 24 points / Part III: 18 points). The maximum number of points for all three parts combined is 100.
