Specified requirements
According to the guidelines for the certification of QM specialists, the following requirements have been defined for candidates to fulfill in each qualification phase:
QM Officer (QO)
- A degree or at least 5 years of professional fulltime experience, or superior quality fulltime experience
- At least 1 year of fulltime professional experience involving quality-related tasks
- Participation and a passing grade in QO training in an at least 80-hour training course
Quality Manager (QM)
- The successful completion of the QO training course
- A degree from a technical college or at least 4 years of quality professional fulltime experience, or at least 6 years of fulltime professional experience after job training
- At least 2 years of fulltime professional experience involving quality-related tasks
- Participation and a passing grade in QM training in an at least 60-hour training course
Quality Auditor (QA)
- The successful completion of the QM training course
- A degree from a college or university and at least 4 years of professional fulltime experience, or at least 5 years of fulltime professional experience after graduation from a technical college
- At least 2 years of fulltime professional experience involving quality-related tasks
- Participation and a passing grade in QA training in an at least 40-hour training course
- To qualify as certified QA you need an additional 4 (at least) quality audits of (at least) 20 days for the examination of the documentation, audit planning, the audit itself and the audit report. Proof of at least 10 days on site must be submitted. Proof of at least 2 previous audits (10 days, 5 of them on site) must be submitted for the candidate to be admitted to the examination.
