Requirements for the certification as an IT specialist
The step towards being a certified IT specialist is open to graduates of IT professions as well as others with practical IT experience.
To get certified you have to be ...

- a graduate of profession qualified in the IT sector, or
- a graduate of profession qualified in other sectors, but job experienced for at least one year in IT
- Job experience
Job experience means a minimum of 35 hours work per week in an employer-employee relationship. Less working time leads to an extension of the claimed job experience.
The participation of a supported further training program according to SGB III, which is corresponding to at least one specialist profile, can be credited with up to 12 months.
Moreover, those will be admitted, who can prove by testimonies or in other ways their qualifications that justify their approval to a certification.
